Throughout the year, we have proudly partnered with Ilford BID to deliver a series of key calendar events that brought our community together and celebrated our diverse culture. From the grandeur of the King’s Coronation to the enriching celebrations of Black History Month, and the magical Christmas light switch on, each event has been a testament to the power of community spirit and collaboration.
Celebrating the King’s Coronation
The King’s Coronation was a momentous occasion that saw the streets of Ilford come alive with joy and festivity. In partnership with Ilford BID, we organized a spectacular event that included live performances, family-friendly activities, and a grand parade. It was a day filled with pride and unity, as residents came together to mark this historic event.
Honouring Black History Month
Black History Month was another significant event in our calendar. Working with Ilford BID, we hosted a series of educational and cultural activities that celebrated the contributions and achievements of Black individuals and communities. From thought-provoking talks and workshops to vibrant performances and art exhibitions, the month was dedicated to honouring history and fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Black heritage.
Lighting Up Christmas
The festive season reached its peak with the much-anticipated Christmas light switch on. This event, organized in collaboration with Ilford BID, transformed our town into a winter wonderland. The switch on ceremony was accompanied by a dazzling display of lights, carol singing, and a visit from Santa Claus, bringing smiles to faces of all ages and spreading holiday cheer throughout the community.
These efforts not only beautified our surroundings but also strengthened community bonds and promoted environmental stewardship.
The success of these events and initiatives would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and support of our community. We are grateful to everyone who participated and contributed their time and effort.
