Be the Art: May Half Term Activity

Back to Stories

This May half term, our centre was buzzing with creativity and community spirit as we teamed up with The Together Project to host an exciting event that left a lasting impression on all who attended. Residents of Waltham Forest came together to celebrate art and self-expression by creating self-portraits, transforming our space into a vibrant gallery of individuality and creativity.

Creative Fun

Participants of all ages and skill levels had the chance to unleash their inner artists. From bold brushstrokes to delicate details, everyone was encouraged to express themselves freely through colours and crafts. It was a heartwarming sight to see families, friends, and solo creators immersed in their artistic process, bringing their unique visions to life.

Community Bonding

The event was more than just an artistic endeavour; it was a wonderful opportunity for community bonding. Art enthusiasts and curious residents mingled, shared ideas, and found common ground in their love for creativity. Conversations flowed easily, and new friendships were formed, strengthening the sense of community in Waltham Forest.

Free Admission

We believe that art should be accessible to everyone, which is why admission to this event was completely free. While enjoying the creative atmosphere, guests were also invited to consider making a donation to The Together Project. These contributions help support their mission of fostering creativity and community through various artistic initiatives.
