Business Manager

To generate and drive professional community tailored commercial opportunities in line with the asset masterplan and commercial business plan. Maximising revenue through quality uses, experiences and partnerships, embracing physical, digital and emerging platforms. Generate and drive income from the car park through guest visits, local business partnerships and creative enterprise solutions.

 

You will be accountable for:

  • Identifying, managing and delivering community tailored income and value creating commercial initiatives across the common mall areas, Market Hall and car park.
  • Meeting or exceeding Business Plan objectives around commercial income, managing commercial costs and associated timescales, whilst ensuring a positive and enhanced guest experience.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and collaborating closely with the centre team in their delivery of locally generated commercial initiatives and partnerships;
  • Sourcing, managing and driving income across the following strategic areas:
    • Market Hall
    • Services
    • Mall kiosks and promotions
    • Car park
    • New initiatives
  • Communicating and liaising with the Commercial Manager (Portfolio) in the development of key commercial partners and customers;
  • Establishing, maintaining and monitoring quality control guidelines for the physical provision of common area activities to ensure the offers enhance the guest experience;
  • Proactively and creatively identifying new and emerging offers, experiences and partnerships that would enhance and differentiate our community proposition and offer;
  • Coordinating with marketing and operations teams, to ensure a collaborative customer experience, which feeds into the overall centre Master Plan objectives;
  • Building and developing strong business relationships with existing and target customers and partners;
  • Oversee the implementation of new commercial partner and customer propositions;
  • Liaise with and assist the Commercial Manager in providing the necessary information in order to effectively deliver longer term partnerships;
  • Managing the licencing, due diligence and invoicing process of all commercial and car park income activities and ensuring payment guidelines are followed.

  • Success in meeting or exceeding commercial income and car park targets
  • Range and creativity of new offers and experiences introduced at the centre
  • Identification and conversion of new customer relationships
  • Effective and dynamic collaboration in identifying and delivering commercial opportunities
  • Positive guest feedback through NPS and research
  • Positive customer and colleague feedback
  • Duty management as part of the senior onsite team
  • I have read and fully understand my job role and responsibilities

Skills & Experience:

  • To be educated to a Degree level or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' work experience within a sales environment, ideally within shopping centres or retail
  • Experience using a CRM platform, ideally Salesforce
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Commercial acumen and financial awareness
  • Experience with legal documentation
  • Creative – new revenue generating ideas
  • Ability to effectively communicate with different levels of management
