Love Sundays campaign shortlisted for BCSC and ICSC awards

Capital & Regional is pleased to announce that it has been nominated as a finalist for both the BCSC Purple Apple Award and the ICSC Solal Marketing Award for its successful ‘Love Sundays’ campaign.

The campaign has been recognised by the BCSC under the strategic marketing category for positive results in 2014, with the ICSC shortlisting the campaign under the sales activation category in recognition of its activities last year.

During 2014, Love Sundays, which offered shoppers the chance to claim a free gift every Sunday when they spent £50 or more at one of the six Mall shopping centres, drove transaction values significantly up from £37.52 to £82.99 and Sunday footfall increased by 6.5% during the course of the campaign.  A 14:1 return on investment was recorded by retailers.

These nominations clearly demonstrate the level of our engagement with our retail partners and the support we actively provide to them across all our shopping centres. It is encouraging to see our initiatives being recognised in this way.”

The BCSC Purple Apple Marketing Awards are the only awards, which recognise and reward effective shopping and town centre marketing within the UK retail property sector. The awards acknowledge high standards and reassure retailers and other interested parties that shopping centre marketing is effective and provides excellent value for money.  The ICSC Solal Marketing Awards also brings together the very best of retail marketing across Europe and South Africa, to reward those with the most effective campaigns and best practice.

Winners will be announced on 7th May for the BCSC Purple Apple Awards and 2nd June for the ICSC awards.
