First All Star Lanes outside London secured for Great Northern

Capital & Regional, the specialist retail property company, has secured the first All Star Lanes outside London for Great Northern Warehouse, Manchester.

All Star Lanes has taken 19,500 sq ft in the 399,000 sq ft Grade 11* Listed building, agreeing to a 25 year lease with a view to open at the end of summer. The leisure operator currently already has four outlets in London, combining boutique bowling with private lanes, restaurants and cocktail bars.

The venue will feature a private room complete with two bowling lanes, its own cocktail bar, canapé menu and karaoke facilities. A bespoke drinks menu, exclusive to Manchester is also currently being developed.

Great Northern Warehouse is a mixed-use scheme located in the heart of Manchester. It is anchored by mulitplex cinema, AMC Cinemas, a casino, lifestyle retail brands, bars and restaurants and is supported by a 388 space car park.

The letting is a significant deal for Capital & Regional as it looks to further strengthen the tenant mix at Great Northern Warehouse and raise profile of it within Manchester. As All Star Lanes' London venues boast regular customers such as Prince Harry, Kate Moss and Elle Macpherson, it is expected its new venture will shine a spotlight on Manchester.

Sian Bowen, Retail Asset Manager at Capital & Regional, commented: "We have worked to establish Great Northern as a leading leisure, entertainment and retail venue in Manchester and have successfully delivered a fresh, exciting tenant mix.

"As this letting is All Star Lanes first venture outside of London, the deal is a significant coup for Capital & Regional and we are confident it will prove popular with our regular visitors. The brand will sit well in our current tenant line-up and we look forward to welcoming All Star Lanes to the city."

Mark von Westenholz, Founder of All Star Lanes, said: "We're very excited to be opening in Manchester this summer.  After six successful years we feel the time is right to expand beyond London and there was never any question it wouldn't be Manchester first."

Graham Hall, Operations Director for All Star Lanes, added: "Having experience of operating in Manchester, I have an understanding of what the public there expect, with eight lanes in the main hall and two in a private room we plan to bring something fresh and exciting to the hospitality market in the North West.

"It is great that Manchester has always enjoyed such a vibrant nightlife and this is one of the main factors which made our decision to bring All Star Lanes to the city a very easy one.  I can't wait to share our take on boutique retro bowling, authentic home cooked food and award winning cocktail bar with you all."
