Introducing Marley’s Little Library: A Community Treasure

Back to Stories

In November, we proudly unveiled Marley’s Little Library, a heartfelt project dedicated to fostering a love of reading among children. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we transformed an old cupboard into a vibrant library, stocked with donated books that are now cherished by many.

The Heart of Marley’s Little Library

Upcycling with Purpose: We began by upcycling an old cupboard, giving it a new lease on life as a cozy book nook. Bright colours and creative designs make it a welcoming spot for young readers.

Community Donations: The library’s shelves are filled with books generously donated by our wonderful community. These contributions have created a diverse collection that caters to all interests and reading levels.

How It Works

Read at the Centre: Children are invited to sit and read at the library, enjoying a quiet space to dive into their favourite stories.

Take a Book Home: The magic doesn’t stop at the library. Kids can take books home, encouraging a habit of reading beyond the centre.

Book Swaps: Have a book you’ve finished? Swap it for a new adventure! This keeps the collection fresh and exciting.

Donations Welcome: We continually welcome donations of gently used books. It’s a wonderful way to share the joy of reading and ensure every child has access to books.

A Beloved Community Hub

Marley’s Little Library has quickly become a beloved fixture in our community, used daily by children eager to explore new worlds through reading. It’s heartwarming to see kids gather around, exchanging stories and discovering new favourites.
