Capital & Regional ‘Give Back’ With 2000 Pledges to Give More

Having partnered with Give More, a national giving campaign, Capital & Regional, has achieved almost 2000 pledges from shoppers across the UK to 'give something back' to society by donating their money, time or energy to a good cause.

Capital & Regional worked with Give More, launched by the Pears Foundation, to encourage shoppers to make a public commitment to support a worthy cause. The charity took space in each of Capital & Regional's shopping centres and persuaded customers to write down the details of their chosen cause or charity and post their promise on a 'pledge wall', with an accompanying photo.

The partnership reflects the values of The Mall Fund's community focused initiative, Mall Cares which was developed to engage with and motivate customers, retailers and the centre management team to work together and raise money for local causes.

Working with Give More is a natural fit for Capital & Regional and reflects our commitment to supporting the communities in which we operate. Our own Mall Cares campaign demonstrates our efforts to be a responsible, socially aware and proactive landlord."

Tamar Ghosh, Give More Campaign Director, added: "The Give More campaign has proven an enormous success with 15,235 pledges secured across the UK. We are thrilled with the response to our campaign at Capital & Regional's centres with nearly 12 per cent of all pledges coming from its centres.

"We hope to work with Capital & Regional again on next year's Give More campaign, and that more shopping centre landlords will give their support in backing the campaign."
