Snozone receives Best Sporting Venue Award

Snozone has been voted Best Sporting Venue at the School Travel Awards 2017/18 and was presented with its trophy by TV newsreader and journalist, Fiona Bruce on Thursday 9th November.

Snozone have taught over 2 million people to ski or snowboard and they are the only UK indoor real snow slope operator to have their own snow school dedicated to teaching children and adults with a range of physical challenges and disabilities.

Snozone also has an extensive schools programme that fully supports the curriculum.

Around 300 teachers, educational visit co-ordinators and school travel experts joined Fiona at a special lunch ceremony for the second School Travel Awards at The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London.

We are very proud to receive this award and we’re extremely grateful to the readers and teachers who have voted for us. We’re absolutely delighted to be recognised for delivering our programmes, activities and experiences to a standard that merits your votes. Thank you!

17 awards were made to recognise the amazing schools, inspiring people that champion learning out­side of the classroom, best venues, attractions and companies as voted for by readers of  School Travel Organiser magazine. 

At the awards, Snozone shared a platform with businesses as diverse as Go Ape, the British museum, Kidzania, Legoland, Woburn Safari Park, The Science Museum, Jodrell Bank, Euro Disney, The Bank of England, Warner brothers studio tour , Cadbury’s World, The Tower of London and Pizza Express. 

The other nominees in Snozone’s category were Wimbledon Tennis Tours, Twickenham Stadium, Manchester United Football Club  and the National Football Museum.
